Book Club Second Edition Aug/Sept Meeting

Unfortunately we were not able to meet in August so we discussed 2 books on September 30.
Margaret chose Free the Children by Craig Kielburger with Kevin Major. This is the story of a very young man (age 12) travelling throughout Asia investigating child labor practices and bringing to light the realities of the sweatshops. Craig and his brother Mark founded an international development charity and youth empowerment movement.

Ann L chose Elbows Up! Canadian Voices of Resilience and Resistance, edited by Elamin Abdelmahmoud, a collection of essays by prominent Canadians focusing on national identity and sovereignty. Timely!
