Nanaimo Museum Tour

7 group members toured the Nanaimo Museum on November 13th.  We had a guided tour of highlights from the different exhibits, from cultural and economic history to bathtub racing (who knew you could sail a bathtub from Nanaimo to Vancouver?)  We especially liked the First Nations weaving exhibit and the history of Nanaimo’s 4 chinatowns.  We had time after the tour to wander the museum at our leisure and also view the sports history displays in the lobby.  We left the museum for a short walk to the Old City Station Pub for lunch and conversation.
