Escape Rooms are a Humbling Experience!
On Friday, February 27th ten brave souls entered two Escape Rooms in Nanaimo. As we entered the first of three rooms I was wondering what our team of four would do if we finished before the one-hour deadline. How long would we have to wait for the other team of six? I needn’t have worried. It became immediately clear that, although we are all smart people, we were woefully unprepared mentally for the problem- solving required to escape. The hour flew by as we raked our brains, trying to solve problems allowing us to move from one room to the next. Neither team made it to the final room. Our frustration was only lessened by the knowledge that we had attempted the two most difficult rooms and by the good food and beverages at Simon Holt Restaurant.
Would I do it again? YES, but in a less challenging room.
