Probus Club of Nanoose Bay
Membership Information
AIMS OF THE CLUB
To provide regular meetings for retired and semi-retired persons who appreciate opportunities to meet others, hear guest speakers on topical subjects, and visit places or attend events of specific appeal to members.
The Club shall be non political, non sectarian, and shall not be, or appear to be, a fund raising or a service club. The activities of the Club shall be directed solely towards acquaintance and fellowship within the membership.
MEMBERSHIP
Applications for membership are sponsored by at least one current member of the club and approved by the Management Committee. Membership is open to retired and semi-retired (not working more than 24hrs per week) professional and business residents of the Nanoose Bay area, of either gender, including their partners, and also to other men and women who have had some measure of responsibility or achievement in any field of worthy endeavour.
ACTIVITIES
The club meets on the third Friday of every month at 9.15 am in St Mary’s Anglican Church Hall, Nanoose Bay, to provide fellowship, hear a guest speaker and conduct a general business meeting.
Visits, special interest groups, outings and other social functions are arranged on a regular basis for members, and where space allows, for their guests. Participation at meetings and outings is expected of Members.
ANNUAL DUES
The annual dues are currently $42.50 per member, by cheque payable to the “Probus Club of Nanoose Bay” and given to the Club Treasurer, or preferably by e-transfer (treasurer@nbprobus.org). The club year runs from Jan 1st to Dec 31st.
New members may be accepted throughout the year. Members joining between Jan. to June pay the full amount. Members joining between July and Dec. pay a pro-rated fee of $21.25.

Application forms when completed should be returned to the Membership Secretary for processing: membership@nbprobus.org.
NEW MEMBERS
New members on being invited to join the Club will send their dues, preferably via e-transfer) to the treasurer (treasurer@nbprobus.org) to establish their membership.
