Whale sightings reported to our Whale Report app from local citizens really help to enrich and drive our research forward. Whale Report can be accessed by phone or desktop computer, and can be downloaded by following the information on this page – Download the Whale Report App – Ocean Wise. Alternatively, the Whale Report app can be found free to download on both the Apple store and Google Play store (for iPhones and Android phones, respectively).  Just look for the Ocean Wise logo as seen below!

If anyone would like to support our work monetarily, Ocean Wise has a symbolic Wild Killer Whale Adoption Program, which can be found here – Adopt a Killer Whale! – Ocean Wise. The donations made through this program directly fund the work presented on Friday and are incredibly helpful to our team. If anyone is interested in donating, they can follow the link above and click on “Choose a whale” to read about some of the matrilines and individual whales that are a part of this program. To “adopt” any of these options, simply scroll over the photo and click the “Adopt” button that pops up. The Killer Whale Adoption Program is a monthly giving program, but one-time donations are also very welcome and can be done via this link – Ocean Wise.
