WeeDrammers Heel Party in December

On December 11, eight members (we missed you Borje and Bob) of the WeeDrammers gathered at Tony’s for what we hope will be a long-standing ritual, our annual heels night. This is a time when each member brings one (or more) ‘heel’ of whisky left over from their liquor cabinets. On this occasion, 13 whiskys were represented and offered to all for a sampling. Tony’s job was to supplement the whisky with appies, a role he fulfilled admirably! Beautifully prepared flank steak served with baguette, a variety of sausage, lox with cream cheese, numerous delicious cheeses with crackers, lots of dark chocolate and a plate of sumptuous Christmas baking all made an appearance. Great job Tony!

This occasion also presented an opportunity to try out our new Glencairn glasses a gift to the group courtesy of Borje. A gift much appreciated! Much fun was had, many drinks were sampled and most if not all the food was eaten. The evening stretched on well past our normal 7:00 PM stopping time.
