May 6 was a spectacular day in Comox for our excursion. We had 16 people attend. We were so lucky the clouds parted and the rain stopped falling long enough for this great display of aeronautical talent to take place above our heads.

The sounds are what we will remember a long, long time.   After the adrenaline rush of the  CF-18’s thirty-five minute show and then The Snowbird’s forty-minute show,  the group late lunched at The Church Street Taphouse in Comox.  The pub was very busy on a sunny Friday afternoon but worth the exuberant atmosphere to enjoy their delicious food and beer.  Extra military and reserve military were in the Taphouse as well.  Friday was the first day of a two-week assignment in the Comox Valley to do tactical drills by land, sea and air.
