Eighteen Probus members travelled to Comox on Saturday, where we caught the ferry to Powell River. We were entertained by fiddlers on the boat, then we travelled by bus to the theatre where we enjoyed a lovely buffet lunch. The concert was spectacular, with a concerto competition for the first half – violin vs trombone! Then the full orchestra transported us to musical heaven with their rendition of Mahler’s Fifth Symphony. The young people attending Prisma come from all over the world, and they are extremely talented. After a relaxing ferry ride back to Comox we dispersed back to our homes well fed both physically and spiritually.
