PRISMA – A fabulous day
On June 24, eighteen of us ventured to Powell River for the PRISMA symphony. We sailed under sunny skies, were treated to a delicious buffet lunch provided by the VIU Culinary Arts program, and listened to
outstanding musical performances from the two violin concerto finalists and the entire orchestra. The technical expertise and artistry displayed by these young musicians was astounding. The event was very well organized and well supported by the Powell River community. This event is a must-attend for 2024!
UPDATE! It seems to be a well-kept secret but we finally found out that the winner of the violin concerto composition was Maya Kilburn, who played the Bartok.
