President’s Message October 2024

   President’s Message     October 2024

As we move into the autumn months the leaves have begun to fall, and the temperatures have started to drop.  Our highways are less congested with the summer season behind us.  Our Social Club and Special Interest Groups are formulating plans for the coming months, stay tuned.  If the group you are interested in is presently full, reach out to our VP or any member of the executive team to discuss starting another.

As Vancouver Islanders we have much to be thankful for.  Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on October 14th this year and is a time to come together with friends and family.  It is a time to be thankful for all that we have and the bounty of the previous year, a time to have our traditional meals, whatever that may be.

As I remind myself of our good fortune and the simple comforts that we have, such as a roof over our heads, my thoughts and hopes go out to those less fortunate and the challenges they face.

Regards,

Darrell
