President’s Message November 2024
To those new members we have had join us over the past months, I welcome you to the Probus Club of Nanoose Bay! We are a very social group made up of many talented people from all walks of life. There are many opportunities within our club to get involved at all levels and bring your ideas for new Special Interest Groups. Don’t hesitate to get involved.
Our Annual General Meeting is held in March 2025. According to our Bylaws the nominating committee is made up of the President, Vice President and Past President. They shall complete the slate of nominees who have agreed to stand for Management Committee positions (prior to December 31 of the preceding year (2024)), for presentation to the membership at the February general meeting (a month prior to the Annual General Meeting). Positions up for election are the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. All members are encouraged to nominate candidates for these positions by notifying one of the nominating committee members.
As we move toward the Christmas season the Snowbirds are beginning their treks south. Our Probus Team is preparing events for those of us not going away to the warmer climates. Sign up sheets are available at the General Meetings. Sign up now for our Christmas Social at the Nanoose Bay Cafe, Nov. 25th! The Social Committee and the Christmas Party organizers led by Fiona Been are hard at work to make this a memorable event.
Our next General Meeting is Fri. Nov. 15th. There will not be a meeting during the month of December.
