On Friday, the 21st, we took a trip to the entrance to Nanoose Bay and Maude Island. We had two single and two tandem kayaks for a total of six people. Sky was sunny and seas were calm as glass going to Nanoose Bay. We saw one fat seal slide into the water on our way there. Pictures are of the shallow and sheltered bay on the east tip of Maude Island. Barb and Glen passed up on the Maude Island stop so you only see three kayaks in the pictures. Winds picked up at our Maude Island stop but they were on our backs on the return trip and blew us back home to the Fairwinds Marina.
