Introducing New Members

Welcome Jackie Clements and Jeff Herman

Jackie grew up in Devon, on the south coast of England, and is delighted to be living by the sea again.  She lived in Toronto for 25 years, working in Human Resources before becoming a personal fitness trainer.  She and Jeff retired in Kelowna, then migrated farther west to Nanoose Bay.  She is an avid cyclist, leading a cycling group on Sundays and has taken several cycling holidays.  Dogs are a big part of her life; she has two rescue dogs and walks them on the trails every morning.  Additionally, she is a volunteer dog-walker for Elderdog.

Jeff hales from Montreal and is still a diehard Habs fan.  He worked in sales and marketing for H.P, IBM, and Xerox.  Work brought him to western Canada and he retired shortly thereafter, in Kelowna.  He volunteered in Kelowna with Project Literacy, teaching ESL to immigrants adults, and hopes to continue that work here.  He also enjoys golf, cycling and tennis, and is looking forward to hitting the slopes at Mt Washington this winter.

Both Jackie and Jeff are active members at the Fairwinds Wellness Center, and are looking forward to learning more about the Nanoose Bay area.
