Our long-awaited holiday celebration with Probus friends took place at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort, Dec. 10, 2021.
In spite of COVID and new variants we managed to have a lovely Christmas Party – 75 people enjoyed Probus’ first face-to-face get-together in nearly two years!!
Rob Henry and his piano entertained us with Christmas Carols during the cocktail hour. Each table was beautifully decorated by Jenny and her amazing team of helpers, with a unique centrepiece themed on Christmas Carols. Seating arrangements were random and people had to find their places by identifying a line of a Christmas carol.
Tigh-na-Mara served a wonderful buffet dinner with a wide selection of foods and deserts. After the meal our resident comedian Randy Borger, dressed as a gangster, delivered a humorous Covid-inspired “Motivational Speech”.
It was so nice to see and mingle with people we had not seen for ages, and judging by the level of banter in the room, a very good time was had by all! (wait a few seconds for the photos below to scroll through some merry merry!)
