We have made 7 paddling excursions this year to local islands (Winchelsea, Maude, Southey, and Gerald). We also travelled to Sandy Beach Marine Park off the north coast of Denman Island and the Dingy Dock restaurant/pub on Protection Island in the Nanaimo Harbour.
We encountered lots of seals and sea lions but no whales.
Everyone survived, every trip was sunny and no one got wet.
September trips to be determined.
Paddler off South Winchelsea Island watched over by bald eagle on August 25.
