“Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus was the April choice for Probus BookClub #2. Set in the 1950s-60s, the main character, Elizabeth Zott, discovers working as a Chemist is not a straightforward, equal opportunity endeavour. While her story is told with humour, the underlying issues generated lots of discussion for our group with lots of personal stories about our own working situations.
