After being snowed out in Feb., we were able to welcome newest member Marion Clark in early March to discuss “And All the Birds Rained Down” by Quebec author Jocelyne Saucier. It was a remarkable story, beautifully written. This was the first Canadian novel to win the international Prix des cinq continents de la Francophonie, in addition to several Canadian literary prizes.
And then later in March, we met at Judith’s to discuss “If We Were Villains” by M.L. Rio. An elite group of seven university drama students become immersed in Shakespeare which leads to unintended consequences. It’s definitely a mystery book which was a page turner and it led to a great discussion!
