20th Anniversary Picnic

On Friday July 19^th 84 members of the Probus Club of Nanoose Bay gathered at the Qualicum Beach Rotary Park to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of the club. The weather was perfect, the tables were decorated with beautiful bouquets, and the crowd was geared up for good food and camaraderie. Our traditional picnic quiz was won by the group representing four communities in Oceanside. The group representing CBC’s “the National” newscasters was the runner-up.
Reg W. from Probus Canada gave our President a plaque honouring the founding of the Club twenty years ago, and Jean R, a charter member, gave a lovely history of the club and its wide variety of activities. We were also joined by the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, aka Randy B. Hilarity ensued!
The meal was catered by Pacific Brimm in Parksville and everyone enjoyed the delicious salads and entrees. Dessert was provided by Dolores W – beautiful and tasty cupcakes. Enjoy the slide show!
